These guys get 5 stars simply for their cleanliness and customer service. Every TK Noodle I've been to has been dirty. This place is CLEAN! The best part, there wasn't a thumb in my soup when it was delivered to my table.

If you have been to Kings Noodles, New Tung Kee you have been here. Same recipes, same menu. A number 3 in one is same as a number 3 in the others. They are delicious just the same. I highly recommend the taro cakes. I always get number 3 large. Always tasty and filling. One of my favorite spots

Pad Thai combo meat with extra shrimp. Simply incredible! Do NOT order to go because they will give you a fraction of the food. Eat in and then take to go. Their Pho is also really good. They have decent service and seating is actually kind of uncomfortable. But the food makes up for it.

We typically go here mostly every weekend to get our #6 soup fix. Sometimes we crave chow fun as well. Must say that the service from the owner and workers are spot on. They are truly on top of it and know how to run a business. They're quick and the quality of their food is consistent. Love this place and so glad this place exists.

Love the crunchy noodles. Service in minimal. great place to go for a quick bite.

The strawberry smoothie is the best! Love it

We go here at least 1 time a month, but not lately due to price increase and there are more restaurants to choose. New TK Noodle houses every where used to be a low price, mediocre food for quick bites or when we're not in the moods of eating heavily.
I and my wife always ordered the pan fried flour cakes, well done, burnt, so we had to order as soon as we walked in the restaurant. The waiters are very attentive, very good services. The food is NOT specialized in anything, but everything is eatable for a low price.
My son likes the combo crispy noodles and wonton soup, he likes the wontons.
My daughter likes #1 on the menu - combo rice noodles soup.
We do like Pad Thai here too.
Average with 4 of us, the bills came out to about $36... Now the price slowly creeping up - average dishes now $8-9, it's no longer low price restaurant any more, we rather pay a little more to get better quality food, hence once in a few months instead of a few times a month here.
Yes, this is still the best place for Pad Thai and Pan Fried flour cakes.

I have come here a good amount of times to say that this restaurant makes amazing noodles. To think of it, this is the only place I go to for Chinese, Vietnamese noodle soup. My boyfriend and I usually order the combination half egg, half rice noodles. But upon my recent visit, I decided to just get the rice noodles by itself. You literally can't go wrong in ordering because the entire menu is delicious!

Even though I am not a frequent customer, I have always been greeted blissfully by their staff. The customer service here is wonderful. Not to mention, the food is reasonably priced and comes out fast. I always leave with a warm tummy. I give this place a solid 5 stars.

Ive been going to TK noodles and the various subsidiaries ever since I was a kid. Around 4th grade, I discovered hu tieu sate, aka #2 on the menu and I think in the 20 years since, I can count the times I've ordered something different on 1 hand.

This location serves it up just the way I remember it, hot, spicy, full of flavor. However, the reason this place gets a 5? They go above and beyond and throw a sprig of thai basil on the bowl too. It's a minor addition but man does it enhance the flavor of this dish. I guess the clientele in Newark demands the additional flourish, and I for one am delighted.

  • *****

I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something good to eat and just be able to try something different. It may not stand out but the food does. Super yummy and the soup is the best on cold or rainy days

I'll admit my time management isn't always stellar so we somehow weren't able to grab lunch on our way to my godson's soccer tournament. The thought of stopping at Jack in the Box was weighing heavily on me when I noticed this place nearby in the same shopping center. My good parking karma was working because I nabbed a spot in front of the entrance. The staff was buzzing back and forth helping the packed house. We soon learned we could order to go. My daughter ordered way too many egg rolls and I ordered the Pad Thai. I fidgeted nervously as I watched our time. I didn't want the food too quickly because soccer fields aren't great places to deal with food poisoning. But I also didn't want a dine-in wait. We ended up getting our food in a reasonable amount of time. We made it to the game during the first half and enjoyed a good lunch. As I predicted, my daughter ordered too many egg rolls; they were quite large. But my parents were able to enjoy them, too. Only complaint was that my to-go bag had plenty of eggroll sauce but no napkins or utensils. My mom had to hit up a vendor for a fork for me. Overall, a cheap, quick, filling meal for families on the go.

I have been to a lot of TK noodles and this one is by far the best one I've been too. Usually when I go to a TK noodle I never expect good service. I go solely for the good food and good prices. But this one had all of that in one. Great service. Great price. Clean. Delicious as always food.

  • *****

This is my first time trying this restaurant. I heard good things about the food. I decided too give this spot a try after craving some noodles. We got our food in a timely manner. The food was good overall. Instead of driving all the way to Oakland I would just go here again. Good spot.

  • *****

Hot soupy noodles. Just as expected, every single time. Never too long of a wait for a table or the food ordered. The folks there are always very nice too.

  • *****

Big Portion and good pricing. The noodles is so good, I finished a large bowl.

This place is pretty bomb tbh, because sometimes when I go to pho restaurants it is always dirty with flies roaming around. This place is totally the opposite because there is this one employee who constantly mops the floor always bustin out the "caution wet floor" sign. I can almost see my reflection... I think this is great but I almost slipped and he is always calling out "watch out, wet!" Overall this place has some pretty good food!

  • *****

If you've been to a Tung Kee/New Tung Kee before you know exactly what you're getting. The interior, decor, menu, etc. are identical. Cheap, filling fare that will get out to you quickly.

We stopped in for dinner last night after the debacle that was known as the Bay Area Night Market for 2nd dinner. Consistent with what I said above, for about $15 we got our bowls of noodles out in record time, and just as delicious as usual.

Great place for an east, fast, and satisfying meal.

    order
    --
    won ton soup
    rice stick soup

A lot of soup to order for one day, if you ask me. This place is in the middle of an asian parking lot so, BUYER BEWARE. It's already hard enough to find parking as is with all this congestion. Now, you have to worry about the cars going every which way because of some persons visors in the way. Aside from the clear and present danger, there was a few thefts the last time we went. After talking to the person, it was a broken front passenger window because he left his lap top bag in the front seat.

Now that you've been warned .. the food isn't that much of a danger. Just gotta worry about the lunch time rush but even then, it goes by pretty smoothly.

New Tung Kee - good value, decent food. 3.5 stars rounding up to four.

After eleven straight seemingly endless days of work (including missing my favorite non-holiday holiday - National Doughnut Day), I finally got a chance to catch my breath a little on Saturday. To decompress a little, I decided to go out to dinner with my family. We tossed around numerous dining options but decided on NTK because we all wanted something soupy and simple and had never been there (or the other NTKs) before. So off to Newark we went.

We arrived at NTK just before 6:00pm. Upon entering the restaurant through the automatic doors (very cool for a chain noodle shop!), we were immediately seated. The restaurant looked clean and well kept. Tea and menus were brought to us by one of the servers. It didn't take us long to decide and we ordered the following:

    - Combination Rice Noodle Soup (#1, large for $6.75)
    - Beef Stew and Tendon Rice Noodle Soup (#5, large for $6.75)
    - Combination Wonton Noodle Soup (#9, large for $7.50)
    - Deep Fried Egg Roll (X3, $1.20 each)

All the noodle soup dishes came out quickly. My beef stew and tendon rice noodle soup was very good. It was presented nicely. A small sprig of basil and a lime wedge sat on top of the white rice noodles in the reddish-orange broth. The beef and tendon chucks were very tender and the broth was decent. The noodles were slightly overcooked but acceptable. Overall, I thought the quality was decent.

My brother's combination wonton noodle soup came with four wontons, slices of pork and chicken, shrimp, and meatballs. I tried one of the wontons and it was firm and meaty. My mom's combination rice noodle soup was similar to my brother's, less the wontons. They both told me their food was okay.

It took awhile before the deep fried egg rolls arrive. The filling was made with cabbage, carrot, and vermicelli. They were served hot and fresh with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Even though there wasn't any meat in them, they were still great.

Service there was okay. The folks there were pretty friendly. To sum it up: don't expect greatness here. But in a pinch, this place will do.

I go to this place regularly. You can't go wrong with Soup #9. It is a combination won ton soup on egg noodles. It always comes out to perfection. Other items worth trying are the pad thai, beef stew soup, and crispy fried noodles.
There is no fancy service here. They take your order, they make it fast and serve it to you.
This place is perfect for a quick lunch.
    Tung Kee never fails me.

  • *****

Been here 10 times because closed to my house and this places have a good foods to winner and winner. No complaints :)

Good stuff, especially on a cold winter day or if you're feeling a little under the weather.
Grab a bowl of soup and get all fuzzy feeling as you sip on warm broth and slurp up the slippery ho fun noodle.
The menu is expansive so there's a lot of options to choose from i.e. Duck curry noodle soup, pan fried crispy noodle, daikon, taro or flour cake appetizer and much more....
The customer is pretty diversed, I've seen industrial workers, solo techy, lovely couples (young and old), big families etc...
The service is straight forward 'no bs get yo order in' then food comes out lightning fast (well for sure soup dishes does) and you dive in 'as is' or you can decorate your bowl with the fixings of condiments to the left or right of you depending on your seating arraignment (love their bench style seating).
Overall our experience has been satisfactory.

  • *****

It's cheap , its good, its fast.. This is a fast food noodle house at its best!!

The soup is bland if you eat it as is, but if you ask for extra fried pork skins , and season with their hot sauce, hoisin sauce, sirracha, and jalapenos, its pretty darn tasty!!

Who eats clear broth noodle soup plain anyways?

It's close by my office so when I need a warm bowl of soup this is one of my go-to's. Have you ever felt blue, but then a nice warm bowl of soup just makes you feel happy and warm inside again ? Yeah, this place will do it for ya.

Excellent soups, I just wish they would open by 9 AM instead of 10 but they don't require a minimum purchase for credit card usage.

    New Tung Kee Noodle House
Description: Chinese Food, wonton soup, beef stew, chowfun, fried rice, pad thai, vegetarian dishes

  • *****

First off, their tea has great flavor and their avocado smoothie is thick and creamy! We ordered a beef sate ho fun and a beef stew ho fun. Both were flavorful and filling. The place is clean and the server stops by to take your order basically right when you get in. Can't wait to try the other noodle soups next time!

This review is strictly for the party tray of chow mein that I picked up for a company potluck.

I've heard that New Tung Kee Noodle and King Noodle over at the Fremont Hub are part of the same chain of restaurants. I've ordered a party tray from King Noodle in the past, but thought I'd try New TK Noodle this time around since they're much closer to my home.

I'm going to go ahead and give New TK a slight edge in terms of what you get in the large order of noodles. The tray of combo chow mein came packed with shrimp, chicken, beef and broccoli. The noodles were an absolute hit at my work potluck today! There are probably better places to go for this type of thing, but I feel like they hooked me up for the money that I spent. This will most definitely be my spot going forward whenever I need to bring food to a work function.

  • *****

I've only ordered and picked up. Never dined in. The food is always top quality. They're always willing to add extra wontons to your already delicious soup. I die for the shrimp and chicken stir fry over rice! The sauce is AMAZING!

You know how in the movie "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" when they finally eat the cheeseburgers and their faces are full of satisfaction and joy? Well that's exactly the expression I get every time I eat here.

This about my 7th time here and it never disappoints, I'm always kind of torn of what to eat here. It's always between the beef stew, because of the delicious gelatinous meat that is boiling in the beefy beef broth, or the combination wonton noodle soup that is loaded with tasteful meats like: homemade wontons, beef balls, chicken breast, large shrimp and pork rinds, all garnished with some cilantro.

Well today, I ordered #9 the wonton combo with extra pork rinds, highly recommend. Everything in the soup was a symphony and was possibly the best thing to consume on a Bay Area fall day. The soup was magnificent and always at an affordable price at 6.75. We also ordered their crispy egg rolls at 1.20 a piece.

Although the plaza has a vast amount of restaurants competing for customers, there's a reason why this place is always filled...the food is always consistently 5 star quality at a 5 star price and it doesn't get better than that.

#21 is DA BOMB! My family has been eating here occasionally ever since the OG TK noodle house existed. Now, there are so many different names and different location. I fell out of the drama loop but I"m guessing there was some drama in the family and people split to open their own version of "TK noodle house." Never theless, this location is pretty good when it comes to fresh vegetables, tasty dishes, cleanliness, and fast service.

I used to go to the Fremont Hub location, but I recently went there and the taste completely deteriorated. But, nevermind about that because this review is for this location so let's keep it that way.

Anyway, food is good. They do not skimp out on the portions! A mere small sized will fill you up! Well, actually I can't guarantee that it will fill YOU up because I don't know how much you can eat but it surely filled me up. LOL. Sorry, not really helpful. Just remember that they aren't stingy on the portions. There were even at least 3 pieces of SHRIMP! Wow, right?! On to the service, it was quick. The server took our orders and the food came in like 10 mins or less. However, beware that the non-soup orders will take longer than the soup orders. So if you are hangry and starving to the point of no return, you might want to order one of the noodle soup or just request a hot rush on your non-soup order.

Tip: order some pork skin on the side to eat with your dish. You will thank me after ;)

Tip 2: they take cards. hallelujah !

I deducted 1 star because the guy was pretty rude to us, buuuut on a good note, the food was delicious, got the #9 (combination wonton noodle soup) and the #28 (flour cake with egg). The dipping sauce for the #28 was superb. Of course I added Sriracha and soy sauce to the soup to give it more flavor and more of a kick.. But all in all, my coworker and I were both happy with the food, service not so much. I will def come back. Hopefully dude is a little nicer next time. Also, being asked if you want to leave a tip isn't the business.

I was feeling sick and wanted Vietnamese rice porridge just like how my mom made for me when I fell ill. I bought the combination porridge and requested to only have chicken and beef. They rightfully made my order, and the rice porridge tasted exactly like my mom's. So, A+ for authenticity!

The wait staff and cashier were also very friendly. I will definitely be going here again, when I'm healthier and can eat whatever I want.

  • *****

Don't expect exceptional service. They're not going to ask you how your day is going or discuss the weather with you. They'll take your order and walk away. So if you're someone that likes great service, just be forewarned. But they do keep an eye on your water and check up on you. Just not the friendliest people.

On to the soup. I ordered #9 based on reviews that I read. It seemed the most popular. It's a combination rice noodle soup with beef, beef balls, shrimp, and dumplings. Also has green onions and cilantro in it. The broth is amazing and flavorful. The meat tastes great the the dumplings were delicious. The dumplings had black pepper in it. For some it may be overpowering but I liked it. The noodles were also really tasty and the texture was nice. Probably one of the best soups I've ever had. Their chili paste is also really good. My bf and I also ordered the egg rolls which were your typical egg roll.

The food is just great overall. The flavors are there and it's just nice comfort food. Plus it's really inexpensive. Good cheap food, can't go wrong!!

    Order #12

My parents' have been to other Tung Kee chains since who-knows-when, so it definitely shows you how popular it is! I came here on Labor Day with two others, since we didn't feel like cooking anything. Praise the store owners for opening on this day!

We came around 6:30 PM and the place was fairly filled. We had barely got to sit down when we were already asked what we wanted to order. Give me a few minutes, please?

    We finally decided on:

-1 LARGE order of #21: Combination Chow Fun // HUGE portions! And looks amazing! If you love stir-fry noodles with vegetables, get this for sure!

-1 LARGE order of #30: TARO CAKES! // How I miss these! Corn starch, floury goodness made of taro. Classic way is to also crack an egg or two on the bottom. The best part about this one? They add the pickled vegetables into the egg, just the way my mom does!

-1 LARGE order of #9: Combination wonton noodle soup // So much egg noodles! But wontons are delicious! Scare pieces of pork on top (a bit too fatty), but still yummy! Soup is a bit too artificially sweet (aka chicken MSG), but I love the garlicy flavor.

-1 LARGE order of #2 // Spicy beef sate rice stick with peanut sauce // Holy. It's literally peanut sauce thrown with spicy chili in rice noodles. Nice chunks of meat, and some cucumbers to refresh...but very tasty! I don't know if I can slurp down the soup but it's definitely yummy to dip noodles in!

    Pros:
-Quick service! Got in and out within 1 hour.
-Great taste! Full of flavors, and not too salty.
-Good portions! Wow! I mean, I know noodles are cheap, but at least they don't rip you off! And the best part is that they are next to a supermarket, so it keeps costs low.
-Awesome price! Quality = Quantity in this case. WOOT!

    Cons:
    -A bit too much MSG.
-Meh service. I guess if you like nonexistent but still existent service, this is the place to be. They come at the right time: to order, to bring your dishes over, and to clean up.

    Tips/Observations:
-Head up to the front to pay! (Luckily not cash only.)
-You get your fortune cookies at the front desk too when you pay!
-Seems like they have normal business hours during all holidays, unless otherwise stated.

Overall, I would come here again for some hot soups and noodle dishes! Definitely tastes like home (minus the MSG)!

I have been going to Tung Kee noodle with my family for as long as I could remember. Whether they are called King Noodle, Luu Noodle, TK Noodle or Tung Kee, they are all basically the same in terms of the menu, quality of food and layout of the restaurant. The first location I have been to is the one in downtown San Jose, probably one of the first that has opened.

This location is probably the closest to me, but my family likes to go to the one in N. Milpitas or Calaveras, only because we are often around the area.

My go-to would be the mi bo kho (egg noodles with beef stew) or the mi bo vien (egg noodles with beef balls). I like how their noodles are thick and chewy, broth is always flavorful and they give you a lot of toppings in your noodle soups. Service is always quick and efficient. Usually within minutes of ordering, the food comes out piping hot and fresh.

If you want something refreshing to drink, I recommend getting the taro pearl drink! It is soooo good and has not chance in terms of flavor and taste since I have been getting it as a kid.

Note: this place like all TK's are cash only, but there's an ATM machine inside for convenience.

  • *****

My grandpa introduced me to this noodle house just a few weeks ago and I've already been 3 times since! Their broth is SPOT ON. Just absolutely great... I usually get the number 9 with wontons, shrimp, beef balls, and chicken- IT'S SO AMAZING. They also make really really fresh milk tea with boba! I was wondering why it took so long to come to the table, but then realized it's because she was steeping it by the glass.

  • *****

If you ever have been to a TK noodle you know what to expect. This one changed owners 4 years ago and now is much cleaner and the food is excellent. Small and large not much different I feel.

  • *****

I love this place. compared to many similar restaurants their customer service is really good. what I love the most other than the taste is the price. it is very affordable. ai definitely recommend this place.

  • *****

Like every TK Noodle, this place rocks my socks. For fairly cheap soupy-delicious noodles, I am sold. Since this location is super close to my school, we come here often for a quick lunch.

For a refreshing and light lunch, get the #1 (seafood combination rice stick noodles). I also get the #11 (beef noodle/tendon soup with yellow noodles). If you're looking for a dry plate, get the #22 (chow fun). Also get the pink 3-bean drink -- it's my favorite!

The service is fast and they're generally pretty nice. It gets pretty packed, but hardly ever a wait. If only their soups/noodles were $4 again, I'd eat here way everyday! (Regular price is $6.50-$7.50ish)

  • *****

Stopped by while traveling for work and looking for noodles and soup.  I had the #9  which was egg noodles in soup with won tons, beef balls, shrimp, and pork I believe.  It was very good.

Service was extremely fast -  the waiter was taking my order about 3-5 minutes after I sat down and the noodles were in front of me in another 5.  Don't let the look / location of the restaurant fool you - yes it's in a strip mall and the restaurant is not super fancy, but the food is very good, the service is fast, and the prices are great.

    I would definitely go again.

  • *****

I have been eating at this noodle chain since I was a child and it's something I always crave when I am away.

Service isn't extremely friendly, but they aren't rude either, just fast and efficient. The food comes out pretty fast as well, and it comes out still hot.

My favorites are the Meatball Rice Stick Soup, Combination Rice Stick Soup and the Taro Cake (the vinegar- based dipping sauce is so good).

  • *****

Good food!! The people need to smile dou. Lol. No one wants to see plain faces...but it was good.

  • *****

Right when we sat down & looked at the menu, the server came over to take our orders right away. He also made small talk which is great! Very roomy & a great atmosphere! The service is really quick too. A few seconds after we ordered, we got our drinks right away. I ordered my taro pearl drink & it came it right away! It's refreshing on this hot day. The pearls are cooked well too. Very good. My took a sip of my niece's strawberry smoothie & it tastes exactly like strawberry!

I ordered the Combination Chow Fun & it was a great choice! The flat noodle was a bit more stickier than I would have liked. There was a lot of meat & vegetables than noodles too. A bit overwhelming, but I enjoyed every bite.

Overall, AMAZING experience & I definitely loved my order. Quick service, affordable & very friendly servers makes this experience wonderful! Will definitely come back to try the noodles.

This is our favorite Pho place. Everytime we go to bay area, we eat here atleast once. Tried it the first time last winter and it's the perfect comfort food to a cold weather. Tried it on a sunny day and it still gives me foodgasm. LOL.

It's a typical diner ambience. Condiments and utensils are already placed on the side of the table.

They have small and large size for the pho. I have a huge appetite but their small size is just enough for me. Really big serving size which is a plus.

They have a lot of pho flavors to choose from. I always order #6. A combination of noodles, beef, wonton and shrimp. Broth is rich and the flavors are amazing. You have to put their sauce that looks like a thick oyster sauce on top and a little bit of Sriracha before eating. It adds a variety of flavors to the whole meal. I ordered their Pad Thai once which is good for 2 persons. It has the classic taste and not that spicy. We tried the Crispy egg roll too and it is huge. It's not the ordinary bite size egg roll and we ordered like 5. Crispy and not greasy. The filling is seasoned well. For the drinks, I ALWAYS order their Special Thai Milk Tea. It is a perfect complement on a hot pho.

Overall, I will never get tired of visiting this place. All food are served hot. Extremely hot. LOL! And you can tell that all of the dishes are freshly made.

  • *****

Always love coming here! I've been coming here since I was little with my family & will probably always be coming here. This place is my go to place whenever I'm feeling like eating soup & something quick. I always order the #1 & #21! The servings are pretty big for a good price, it really feels you up! The waiters & waitress' are really friendly, very welcoming. I love this place

This is my go to pho place when i'm in the area. I always order #12. Highly recommend this place if you like pho. Service is good too!

Five Stars. The pinnacle of Yelp's praise. The supposed territory where only the greatest of the great reside.

I know what you're thinking, why am I giving it to a noodle chain?

Well if anyone has every seen a certain movie about a Rat that can cook, then I would be a certain critic having a certain said dish at the climax of the movie.

Since before I could speak English, I have dined at the original Tung Kee in San Jose. Growing up, everyone else had their fast food and restaurants, and this was mine for the longest time.

When I want to go back to a feeling of nostalgia, of fast and fresh food, and a menu that satisfies anyone's noodle cravings; I think Tung Kee. Of course speaking their language helps a bit too.

If you've never been here and are looking to try some signature dishes not really available anywhere else, then you should definitely try their Hu Tieu Sate, and Combination Chow Fun. The flavors and style of these aren't any you'll find elsewhere in almost any other Vietnamese, Chinese, or Asian restaurants in general

And as an added bonus over many other Tung Kee's, this one takes card.

Came here right when it opened on a Sunday.  I was seated right away and quickly ordered. The waiter was nice and even corrected my Ice coffee with milk instead of the way I originally ordered it which was without. He seemed to quickly sized me up since I look pretty native to the area...lol.  Since it was first time here I ordered #8 which was the Wonton soup. It was here in mins. It had a nice smooth broth flavor and perfectly cooked slices of meat with Lil crunches of a topping that tasted like tiny pork rinds which added a great Lil kick to the soup. Will come here again.

  • *****

Very delicious noodle soup that reminds me of the wonton soup I had when I was little. Will definitely come back again!

  • *****

I keep forgetting to give this place a review! I've been coming here for over a year. The food is good and the service is great. Waiters are friendly and accommodating. This is my go-to place for quick and cheap (but still delicious) food.

  • *****

This always seems to be my Mother's TO-GO to place when we eat out. I think she's in love with noodle soups :)

New Tung Kee is located in a huge plaza with Lion Market being the main attraction and a bunch of other restaurants around it. There's usually plenty of parking space so you don't have to really worry. The only time when it gets really packed is during the weekends when there's a shit ton of Asians trying to shop at Lion Market :P

Service here is good, food comes out quick (just the way I like it). My mom usually orders the same thing everytime. Same for me unless I want to try something different.

The usual is the Combination Noodle Soup where it has EVERYTHING in it. Go big or go home cause I like my noodle soups stuffed with everything :) You definitely can't go wrong with a bowl that's around $6/$7 depending if you get a small or large.

Can't go wrong with cheap and good noodle soups! Maybe if I'm in the mood I'll try something different.

I've tried their #23 (check my picture), but I didn't like it much cause they gave too much noodle...I think I'll stick with their noodle soups for now :P

Come here if  you want something quick to eat and cheap! Oh...and good of course :)

It's my first time visit the New Tung Kee Noodle House. There were so many people here. They have plenty seats, no need to wait. The environment was clean. The service was prompt. We like the hot tea a lot. The food came fast. I feel like I got the food in 5 minutes after I place the orders.

#61 Special Pat Thai - Small, $7.75 (?) Not sure about the price. It was different from the Pat Thai I tried before, but I like this one.

#9 Combination Won ton noodle soup - small, $6.25. Like it a lot.

We waited for our check for a little while. Found out everyone went to the cashier to pay. Most customers before us paid by cash. I can use my credit card, but there's no place for tip. He asked me how much I want to tip, he added it to my check and put the cash in the tip box. Looks like not many people pay tips.

I like this place, cheap and delicious. Will come back for sure.

love the food. so delicious. the service is great they cone with the food fast. 5/5 stars

  • *****

Good price, fast service, great food.

Got the #5. The broth was tasty and the meat was nicely simmered.

I also got a taro bubble/pearl drink. It was overwhelmingly sweet. Too much for my liking.

  • *****

nothing fancy, but the service is prompt, the prices are fair, and the food is spot-on. I asked what their best seller is - the guy told me #9 Combination Won Ton Noodle Soup, and that was exactly what I needed (I didn't know it before, but apparently it's my comfort food). $6.75+tax for a "small", which is all I needed. I'll be back.

    Hu Tieu Sate or BUST!
It is so good here, piping hot and fresh.  Sometimes, I ask for more broth, but generally I don't need it. The peanut-y goodness is so yummy, and if you're like my boyfriend, you'll add tons of jalepenos to make it even more spicy/flavorful.

I have also had some of their noodle soup dishes, and those never fail to disappoint either.  Try to bring cash instead of paying with credit; I believe there's a credit card minimum but not sure.

Fast delicious soup that transports me back to my high school years. This place has been around  ever since my high school years. Every time I go to this restaurant reminds me of my friends and how we used to eat here after school since our high school is close by. Today's service was as fast as usual, and the soups  are consistent. I always order number 9 since it has the yummy shrimp and crunchy Chicarones. I told my fiancé today that eating here reminds me of eating in Asia. That's the kind of ambience  that it gives you. Overall, good place for a warm tasty soup.

  • *****

This place is actually pretty clean. They are prompt at clearing out tables once patrons have left.

As for the food, it's good. I recommend coming at the beginning of the week. Once I had some broccoli that wasn't fresh and then the other it was. So it's a hit or miss as usual. Still cheap and quick when your hungry.

  • *****

Their Pad Thai and Taro Cake is my favorite, I usually order it with a Milk tea or Avocado smoothie and it's the best combination. They have fast service and I eat here atleast once every two weeks.

  • *****

This is the place to go when you want hot, noodle soup in your tummy. I always come here for lunch since it's cheap and convenient for me. I just came here with my boyfriend and I got # 1 combination with rice noodles with extra pork skin on the side (for free) and he got #8 combination with egg noodles.  (Small cost $6 and Large cost $6.50) They were fast with our order, and they serve you hot tea.

Our meal was steaming hot, they gave us perfectly amount of meat and noodles. Since we both got a small, I thought they would be give us very little of noodles, but it was a lot. I barely finished mine, and I had to give some to my boyfriend to finish it. Their portions are good, unlike other noodle places they give you very little noodle and a lot of soup.

Well I would definitely come back here for their food. Where else can I find fast service, cheap, and hot noodle soup? and cost under $13??

  • *****

Cheap and tasty! Can't go wrong with that when it meets those two requirements. #1 Combo Rice Stick (Ho Fun) Soup is my absolute favorite. Clear broth and a good amount of meat and seafood!

  • *****

Definitely one of the best noodle soups I've had. I ordered the wanton noodle combination soup and it was awesome.

  • *****

You'd find me here with someone I was able to drag along almost every weekend back in the day. I have since moved away from the East Bay but I still come back here when I'm passing through. Food is good & comes out quick; waiters are very nice. I forgot to grab my wallet from the booth as I was leaving during my last visit because my toddler was having a tantrum and the waiter found it & turned it in! What more can you ask for- I thought I was out $500. And he didn't even want to take my reward when I came back. He ended up putting all of it in the tip jar and then gave me a bag of fortune cookies! I love this place!

  • *****

LOOOOOOVE THIS PLACE! I go to TK noodle 2 or more times a week for a reason. Their broth is consistently yummy as well as their Thai tea. Their boba is cooked to perfection (something rare to find even at boba houses -______-). Would give this place 10 stars if I could.

  • *****

I  always get the #3 my wife and daughters always get the #22 and We always spend a nice time eating, talking and enjoying every moment at this restaurant.
    The best!

  • *****

Very polite and attentive staff and food was a good deal for the quality (egg rolls, beef noodle soup, combination chow fan). I was staring at the staff Bc I was wondering if this was a family establishment and I asked my bf to turn and see if he thought the staff was related. Hahaha I guess I was staring too much Bc one of the staff came over and asked if we need anything! So polite!

  • *****

Hands down the quick soup shop! I have my usual #8 no beef balls and a #47 strawberry smoothie! Hits the spot in those gloomy days :)

  • *****

I can't believe I'm giving New Tung Kee 5 stars but on my recent trip to the Bay Area I found myself eating here the most. For the price and convenience it's really hard to beat this place. It's also difficult to get good teo chew noodle soup back in Austin where I live. The large #9 is all I ever get and it has not disappointed me once. It comes out lightning fast, piping hot and teeming with ingredients. The service here is so impersonal it's literally, sit, order, eat, pay, now get out! The DMV is better decorated inside than this place but it's really all about the food. This place is always a must stop and eat place on my Nor Cal trips. Not even sure why I like it so much but it's really one of my favorite places to eat anywhere.

  • *****

I love their egg noodles here! They don't use the really thin, really easy to overcook, limp egg noodles here... they are the thick, al-dente ones that keep fresh and flavorful in the soup. I am a fan of their combination egg noodle which has everything from chicken, beef ball, veggies, shrimp and pork.

Your orders come out minutes after you order and they are always quick to refill your drinks!

This place has been consistently good and clean - we always come here whenever we are in town!

  • *****

There's a lot of TK locations everywhere but this one is one of my favs.

It's clean and their food/broth is consistent every time I come here.

I always order the #6 with big egg noodles and the Banh Bot Chien Chung!

This is the only TK I'll eat at!

  • *****

Service is always fast here, server speaks good English and food is good. Busy during lunch. Free hot tea. Place is clean. Lots of menu variety. Oh yeah, and it's cheap.

  • *****

    Love me some ho...fun!
$6.00 now for the regular sized, still pretty cheap. Can't go wrong with that!
Also the crispy chow mein looks huge, I should try that sometime...

  • *****

I got the #2 which was spicy peanut sauce soup w/ noodles and beef.

Friggin' awesome. I loved it. The price was reasonable and I'll be back.

    Service was fast and informal.

    Parking was abundant.

  • *****

Clean & nice staff. The dish was good and you definitely get a feel as if you're living in the actual culture.

Treat Mark out to a lunch yesterday 6/19/14 and a Bambu drink after.  What is it about this place that I gave it a 4 stars?  Let see:

       It's fast for work lunch
It's my comfort food that I sometime have a craving for
I can see myself coming here periodically
       It's decently good
       It's decently priced

    Need I say more ... :-)

  • *****

The Pad Thai here is the best. Service is always prompt. A must stop for me every time I'm in town.

  • *****

I love the service and food here. They are always on top of everything. Once they notice your cup of water is nearly done they come and re-fill it without you having to say anything. I try to pick a different type of soup when I come here so I don't really have a favorite since they're all pretty delicious :) especially for the price, you can't beat that!

  • *****

I don't care what my friends say but I'm actually like this place.  I usually get the flat noodles with wontons and I always create my special dipping sauce on the side.  Maybe that's why I like this place because the secret is the sauce that I make on the side.  Without it I don't even think I would go here.

  • *****

The customer service here is awesome! My sister and I ALWAYS use a lot of the jalapenos when we go here so when we come, the server greets us while bringing us an extra container of jalapenos. Ok, usually he brings us just one jar of it, but last time he brought us a huge plastic container which me and my sister found hilarious. We never have a problem with the food either, I usually get a number 3 or 12 with extra fried pork skin on the side which is delicious. I'll always be coming back here!

New Tung Kee takes me back to a good place.

I've lived here in the Bay Area all my life - and growing up when my family wanted to eat different dishes, we kind of ended up at Tung Kee noodle house.  Pad Thai?  They have it.  Won Ton noodle soup?  Sure thing.  Fried taro cakes?  Yup.  That was the beauty of TK noodles - you could choose anything on their well illustrated menu - think Denny's of Asian restaurants.  Well- even better, because the stuff you get at TK is good.  I'm not knocking Moons over My-Hammy, but hey.

I'm not sure what happened to the Tung Kee noodle shop empire - I've read online stories where the family had a falling out, with one brother getting 1/2 of the chain locations, and the other guy renaming his 1/2.  Not  really sure if any of this was true or not - but I did notice that the TK name suffered under the split.  The menus were the same, but at some locations it tasted different.  Sub-par perhaps?

Enter 2012 Luu Noodle New Tung Kee near the Lion asian shopping center behind Newpark Mall.  THIS is how I remember TK noodles.  Same great offerings on the extensive menu, same rock-bottom low low prices to match.  Am I back in 1992?  I can only hope.

Our party had a number of things - the #21 combo chow fun stir fry, the #6 1/2 rice stick 1/2 egg noodle combo, and the #13 vermicelli curry duck noodle.  Simply amazing seeing how my fried noodle dish topped out at $6 (small).  I had it all - succulent prawns, pork, and tender chicken.  I loved the fact that it had generous lashings of cabbage and broccoli.  The noodles were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of char.   My dining companions assured me that their noodle soup dishes were just as awesome.  I had to fight the temptation to reach across the table and snag a curry duck leg for my own.  Next time.

here's the scoop-  Luu New Tung Kee Noodle House is the genuine article.  It's just like the mother ship store in San Jose where it all started.  Same menu, same delicious flavors.  Did I mention the $5-6 price range?  A real bargain considering what you get.  Cash only - to pay, walk up to the counter and tell the gal what table you're seated at.  Oh- and get a few free fortune cookies!

4 out of 5 stars from me-  I'll be adding it to my personal lunch rotation.  you can read more about Tung Kee here - metroactive.com/papers/m…

I love eating the hu tieu sate (rice noodle with spicy soup) here & the bot chien (flour cake) . I actually like this place because most TK noodles take cash only but this on the other hands takes card. This place seems clean, rather then most tk noodles.

Fast. Good. Our host didn't really understand english... I've been vegetarian for 10 years and am now trying veganism so I inquired on whether my meal was cooked with chicken or vegetable broth... He had no clue.

  • *****

The food here is pretty good. It reminds me of 'vien huong' in downtown Oakland. The chow fun and mi hai san is delicious. Their prices and portions match each other and they give quality service. I would definitely come back. Although, I think their rice vinegar should taste more like vinegar..

  • *****

Service is very fast and friendly especially when you're on your hour lunch break. Whenever I call for a to go they will always answer with a "pick up in 10 minutes"  and the nice thing is whenever I'm there in 10 or 15 minutes the food is ready for pick up. It's always fresh and delicious, so good that I can finish the entire plate myself. I usually have to share my flour cake with another person at different restaurant because the quality isn't as good. The other plus is whenever I'm in this plaza I can get my favorite flour cake plus fantasia. It really doesn't get any better then that for a lunch meal. Well, your weight will have to pay for it for all the sugar and carb intake though.

This place used to the 'original' Tung Kee restaurant but has recently changed ownership and is now 'New' Tung Kee.  Not sure if their related in anyway but in terms of menu the food is practically the same.  Like most folks I like the quick service and prices TK usually provides...quick and simple....nothing fancy here.  What I really enjoyed here is the improvement of the customer service compared to the previous regime.  In the past  their was rarely a greeting, no smiles, and mainly your soup would be slammed onto your table.  The current ownership seems have to taken effort into offering good food as well as good customer service.

Overall, TK is a place for quick Chinese fast food like rice dishes, noodles, and soups.  For people who didn't like the previous owners, check this place out one more time and you'll see a difference.

  • *****

Decided to try because the name was funny since i am laotion.  Best combination soup I've ever had.  I've ordered #3 that had all meats with wontons and meatballs.  Don't order a large or you won't finish it.  the chow fun was the best as well.  Will try to make this when I return to the east coast since they don't have this restaurant.

Didn't like the taro cakes at all.  Very oily and taste like a taro cake.  But that is the point of trying new things.  Waiter/hostess was very nice and very quick with the order.  I would be a regular if they had this near where I live.  Highly recommend.  And price is cheap compared to the east coast pho restaurant.

  • *****

I got the #29 fried daikon. That has been my favorite since I was a kid. Every time I come here, I must get the fried daikon. It's tasty and the best I've had.

The service here was good and fast. Maybe a little too fast. The guy who took my order quickly took my order and ran off. I'm like "wait!! I'm not done yet." He came back and finished taking my order. I appreciate the speediness, but please, slow it down just a notch.

  • *****

I have been coming here for 10+ years now, combination over rice and pad thai along with honeydew is my favorite.

I can eat at this place for lunch and dinner 7 times a week :). They are consistent with their quality and quantity. I still see some of the staff from when I first started eating here.

  • *****

This is the place to get my fix of trieu chau noodle soup.

I always get the #1 which is the combination rice noodle soup. My favorite is the broth  because it 's clear and flavorful. Not salty at all. Really wonderful.

They do serve rice and noodle dishes as well as vegetarian.

The environment is very casual and clean. The owners are trieu chau people so they know how to make a fantastic bowl of noodle.

  • *****

Walked in, was immediately seated and served promptly.  Free tea and condiments were organized perfectly.  Very clean establishment.  The Pad Thai special was ok, the noodles were very slippery, but all the native dishes were very good.  Definitely a good place to stop by if you'd like some quick food.

  • *****

The TK Noodle is one of the best place to eat in the Bay area. No matter what new names they changed into. I have  eat  their  dishes  on a regular basis for last 17 years. So far I have visited most of their branches.
Good food and great price. This is the place we like to go back all the time.
Among the branches, The one on Cedar and the one in Mountain View is our favorite.
If I moved out to the Bay area, this is one of the place I will certainly missed.
I hope they can start new branches in Southern California.

  • *****

Hu tieu mi trieu Chau is usually the best. It's all about texture when you eat noodles, and the rice and egg noodles here are always delicious. Depending on how hungry you are, a small would usually be enough to satisfy you. The service is good, but the consistency of the soup is not always on point. Depending on they make the soup, it can be pretty bland sometimes. Quick and easy meal for a reasonable price.

  • *****

You can never go wrong with their duck curry. Something about their coconut try broth that  soothes my soul. I do however sub the vermicelli noodles for oh fun. They seem to hold up better in the soup. That & I prefer ho fun  overall. This last visit we ordered the fried shrimp. Wasn't anything special I'd skip it the next visit. They remind me of the frozen breaded shrimp from Costco. Good but not something I look forward to at a restaurant. One of the reasons I do come here is for the fried taro cakes. Something about that scrambled egg & peanuts coating those tasty squares.

  • *****

I was pitifully going to eat at the nearby Jack in the Box when my feet suddenly walked me inside this restaurant. Upon entering, I was immediately seated and was given the menu. I noticed that the restaurant was very clean and organized. I was seated facing their kitchen door so every time it was opened, I was repeatedly being assured that the food I will be munching on will be clean as all the surfaces are nearly spotless and everything inside was organized.

A few minutes later, my very hot food came out. I ordered the shrimp and vegetables over rice. Although it needed a little help from the soy sauce bottle, I still enjoyed what I was eating.

Their service is fast and exceptional. The server was very efficient and the cashier (yes, the bill will be given to you on your table, but you have to pay at the cashier) was courteous. At the counter I also noticed that they offer a wide variety of cold drinks which I will surely try on my next visit.

I love TK! I always have to go here everytime i'm in the city. Great people and customer service. Thank you!

  • *****

Price is great, lots of menu options to choose from, service is super fast, and most if not all the waiters speak both Vietnamese and Chinese.
If you just bought a house and low on dough then this place is for you. This is fine dining if you are sick of the cup o noodle diet.
Don't eat like a hostage but eat every meal like its your last!

  • *****

This place is good! Me, my sister and brother in law ate here today after shopping at Lion's department store a stone's throw away and decided to stop by here for we are hungry after all that shopping. I have been eating here for the last i don't even remember how long it was but here's the long awaited review anyways. This place is probably the closest as you're gonna get as in a Hong Kong style noodle house because of it's ambiance and the customer service is stellar You'll have a sense of being like family every time you come here: it's accommodating like they're inviting you in & you won't have the sense that the servers are snooty NO NO NO! Far from it. The servers are really friendly specially when you're a regular, they usually remember what you ordered last & they would suggest that or you can asks them what they could recommend or the tons of different dishes you can find on their extensive menu + the posters on their walls along w/ some pictures and the #'s of what kind of food & the prices that comes with it. Everything on the Menu so far is pretty good and i don't think you're gonna go wrong with anything you order here to be honest! Their food is Fresh Delicious and usually piping hot. My personal Favorite is the No.9 although i cannot recall what it is but look it up on the Menu and you'll see what i mean. And they give you their tea w/c is no doubt the best Chinese  tea you'll ever taste (Taste like Jasmine).I really like this place because unlike some noodle houses that only accepts cash, this place accepts all kinds of plastics (Visa Master cards, Debit or credit cards). I will continue to patronize and support this place because as of now,i haven't found ANY Chinese-Vietnamese noodle house that could top nor rival their food nor customer service. I highly recommend this place!

  • *****

I just loved the new tung kee, it was so much better than the old one i think because of the management of the new owner. There were a lot of Improvement in food and good service. They were friendly and welcoming to the customers as to what i see and based on what i experienced. I went there 2/3 times a week just because of the price and how good they were. #6 is my favorite of all times, never get bored of it. There is one of the lady that i disliked the most, she took my orders wrong twice but have never received an apology from her. I hope she doesnt treat anyone that way otherwise i would give it a 5-stars.

  • *****

We came back here twice. The service is friendly and it's a great place to grab some noodles. The soup base is excellent and I love the variety. Price is absolutely excellent! I don't know how they make money, to be honest. Anyways, I'm quite the noodle lover. So, good in my book! I like one of the other reviews' description and have to agree: "fast, cheap, and tasty" is perfect! :)

  • *****

This is a good place to get fast, cheap, and tasty food. I usually go here if I don't know where else to go to eat, and that was the case last night. I got the beef stew with noodles, and it was really tasty. The beef was nice and tender, and the beef broth was a good compliment to the beef. The only complaint would be that there wasn't as much beef as I hoped there would be; it was just one large chunk of beef and lots of noodles and veggies.

The waiters are kind and friendly, and it was a nice, relaxed atmosphere. If you need good food for cheap, this is the place to go to.

  • *****

When I crave noodle soup, I usually come here.

This place used to be TK Noodle House.  A few years ago, the original owner sold the restaurant and now it's called "New TK Noodle House".

"New TK Noodle House" is a family own chain of restaurants around the Bay Area.  There's one in Newark, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, and San Jose.  To this day, I still do not know the difference between the original TK versus NEW TK.  Their menu items are comparable and even the menus themselves look identical.

At this location, I've tried a few of their noodle soups and the stir fry shrimp/cabbage rice plate.  The noodles soups I've tried and liked:

    - satay beef (spicy, but I love it)
    - combination (chicken, beef, pork) (most popular noodle soup)
    - curry chicken
    - beef stew

Service is excellent.  On a typical day, your ordered item usually arrives within a few minutes after you've ordered.  It comes piping hot, just how noodle soup should be.  The best part is that you can custom your own noodle soup.  For example, substitute all meat for beef balls, request to have both thick and thin noodle, or tell them you want to add wonton.

There are complimentary fortune cookies at the checkout table with a note that reads "one per customer".  The fortune cookies are really tasty compared to Panda Express.  They also sell a sandwich bag full for $0.99

  • *****

People are very nice here, every time I walk-in they give you a warm greeting also the food is very good!

  • *****

I will make this short and straight to the point...

If you're a TK Noodle House frequenter, you will know that many of their locations are dingy and they serve greasy food. This location is one of the best around! The only thing I ever get at TK is the combination rice noodle with soup on the side--and this place makes it perfectly! The food is decent and good. The staff is extremely polite and better yet, the prices are incredibly low. I recommend coming here for lunch.

    New Tung Kee Noodle House
Description: Chinese Food, wonton soup, beef stew, chowfun, fried rice, pad thai, vegetarian dishes

  • *****

After going to many TK Noodle chains, this place is probably the best TK around. The soup tastes clean! Not too much MSG. Fresh ingredients. Noodle texture is spot on.  That chili in the container thing is AMAZING, and I don't even know what it is.

I've been to other chew Jao noodle places before, and obviously they're pretty darn good, but this TK noodle puts up a good fight. The waiter actually spoke chew jao which was pretty nice. I just felt pretty comfortable being there , and the noodle was just made right at a pretty low price.

I'm CHEW JAO and this noodle is CHEW JAO APPROVED. Yeah its suprising most of the time its whatever, but hey NEW TUNG KEE NOODLE got it done. QUICK CHEAP SOLID MEAL. DELICIOUS.

  • *****

Very affordable noodle soup if that's what you're craving on cold, rainy days. They put some type of pork fat in their soup that makes it REALLY good, but also really oily. Wontons need work. Just get the plain noodle soups.

Their pan fried turnip and taro flour cakes are pretty good at a good price. You get a whole plate of them for just $5!

All in all, not a GREAT place to go to, but it's cheap and you'll be warm and toasty after a big bowl of noodle soup. A bad part is their seating. They only have booths and they aren't very comfortable.

We stopped by here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised.  My favorite was the taro cakes - so tasty!  I also enjoyed an avocado shake - yum!  The ambiance was welcoming and clean, and the service was friendly and attentive.  After our order, the food arrived impressively fast.  When my water started getting low, it was quickly refilled without my asking.  My wife liked the smell of the fresh Christmas tree that they were putting up while we were there.  We look forward to going back!

While I was grocery shopping at Lion's Supermarket, I spotted the grand opening signs for New Tung Kee and was so elated and happy to see that it finally arrived to the Fremont-Newark area. Two days later, my husband and I stopped by for dinner and I ordered my usual #21. I grew up on this restaurant in Milpitas and to see them open one in my area is sooo exciting. The food was great, fresh, and fast and the service was great. Tasted just like the dishes served in the Milpitas location! The workers were very welcoming and we sure will be visiting often! So overjoyed!

This used to be TK noodle.. it's kinda funny how everything looks the same as before.  You get a pretty good food for what you're paying.  The service is super fast (doesn't take a long time between ordering to getting your food).  The flavor of their soup is on & off... most days, it's slightly bland but still good.  Large size (vs small) would have more noodle and soup... the number of shrimps and meatballs remains the same.

  • *****

Good and comforting TK noodle soup...mmm.

A new New Tung Kee where TK Noodle was near the lion market in Newark. Food is what you expect, good but not super amazing. Über cheap and clean.

The inside has been reprinted and cleaned up and the staff was really nice which came as a shock, we were greeted with a big smile and a "Welcome to New Tung Kee, sit anywhere youd like!".

I'm still a whore for la sen, but for something a little different this is a good place.

Hillarious!  This place was Tung Kee... then it closed down... then it became New Tung Kee!  hahaha I hope they didn't spend a lot of money with the revamp because it looks pretty much the same!

Tung Kee is always an awesome place to go for good cheap eats.  I went here recently with G, my brother-in-law, and my cousin-in-law.  We were kinda hungry so we decided to stop in before getting drinks at Tea Station.  G and I got our favorite (fried rice and fried daikon with egg and peanuts) and my BIL and CIL got some soups (#9 and #8 respectively).  Our food was quick and the service was splendid.  Our waiter was efficient and nice, and didn't bother us for the rest of the meal :P  hahaha He did offer us extra water and a fortune cookie at the end!

So why do they deserve 4 stars, besides the fact that they are your typical awesome Tung Kee?  BECAUSE THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS!!!!  OMFG I was so happy.  I had forgotten to take some cash out last weekend (so I was going to have to pay for part of my meal with quarters that I leave in my car to feed the meters, no lie!) but then I saw the little Visa logo in the window... Score!

I have no idea whether this is actually a new restaurant, or simply a remodeled TK Noodle. Either way, I'm glad they did it. Now, when I go here, I no longer have to deal with a staff that has an IDGAF attitude, or feel squeamish because the place is so dirty and I question the cleanliness of the food.

The New Tung Kee Noodle House replaced the service staff, did some remodeling, and cleaned up the place nicely. This pretty much fixes all the major problems that me and other fellow Yelpers were concerned with in the old TK Noodle House. The servers are friendly and I had no problems with my order.

I got a #3, Combination Rice Stick Noodle Soup with Wontons, minus the beef ball. Soup was hot and flavorful, the noodles were cooked thoroughly, and it had a good helping of meat. The wonton is much better now; before, the wontons were somewhat hard and flavorless, but now they're moist and delicious.

Definitely will be coming back. Try it out!

Delicious and portions are very generous!

Last but not least, they offer the Soda Milk Egg drink. Not everyone will like it, but it's been a childhood favorite of mine. Club Soda + Condensed Milk + Egg yolk.

Casual lunch/dinner place that'll fill you up and leave you satisfied.

I will make this short and straight to the point...

If you're a TK Noodle House frequenter, you will know that many of their locations are dingy and they serve greasy food. This location is one of the best around! The only thing I ever get at TK is the combination rice noodle with soup on the side--and this place makes it perfectly! The ingredients are fresh and good quality. The staff is extremely polite and better yet, the prices are incredibly low. I recommend coming here for lunch.

This TK Noodle House is really clean compared to other locations, and the service is great here!

I love coming here with my family for a bowl of hot noodle soup.  The soups always come out within 5 minutes, too.  I love getting the combo noodle soup, meatball soup, and wonton noodle soup.

Everything I've tasted has been really good here.  I'll definitely come back here again!

This is the best in the bay area!!!

It reminds me of the original Tung Kee on Story rd in SJ. I grew up eating there on Sunday mornings with my daddy. The # 3 soup was very flavorful and good, unlike what it had become in the chain locations.

This location has gone back to basics and made the soup very flavorful and good again. A big plus is this place is very clean and the servers actually come by and check on you which has NEVER happened to me at a tung kee restaurant.

I'm a regular as long as they keep making the #3 the way they do.

Woot! Not the best noodle restaurant but the best Tung Kee Noodle House ever!

It used to be the regular TK Noodle, then they closed down and now reopened to become New Tung Kee Noodle House.

Their food quality is a lot better than any other TK's in the bay area; the wonton they make can compare to the regular Chinese wonton noodle place. Their egg noodle is always so flavorful.

Service is great, they smile and welcome you! This place is always clean, even in the kitchen area - because we can basically see it from our tables.

The best part is - they take credit cards including American Express! A great place for a nice noodle soup with lower price.

My family used to eat at TK Noodle (in Milpitas) a lot back in the day. Don't really know why we stopped, but seeing how it's in the plaza close to my work, my co-workers and I decided to lunch there one day. It's sad - some of my co-workers will NOT eat here at all. I figured, cheap food, fast and friendly service, and close to work - why not?

The servers were all really nice and quick with bringing our drinks and food. If your'e a regular, they also remember you and your order. That's pretty sweet! Numbers 1 and 21 are my go to. (I used to always get their wontons, but now that I know how to make them myself, I don't get theirs anymore!) Their three color drink is also very refreshing. I love love love the pink one.

If you're looking for a fast and cheap restaurant to eat at, TK Noodle is the place to be at.

4 out of 5 stars from me-  I'll be adding it to my personal lunch rotation.  you can read more about Tung Kee here - http://www.metroactive.c…

I've been coming to New TK Noodle house on and off for couple years stacking up to 15+ check-ins.  Why did it take me this long to write something....  here's a story that I like to share with you and I'll never forget how thankful I am to the staff and service they provide.

It was just another regular day that I made my stop here in NTKNH, Newark.  I ordered my usual large rice vermicelli rice noodle #12.  The routine is pretty regular, no need to take a look at the menu - just sit down wait for the hot tea and ordered away.  The order came delivered meeting my expectations as usual (clear hot soup base, counting away 2 meatballs & shrimp, cilantro, chopped green onion, and the works... etc.)  If you been here you know the drill...  adding some jalapeno peppers, hot chili sauce and my own stash of white pepper powder(they only have ground black pepper)...  my lunch is good to go!  I can't be any happier and I'm very satisfied after 12 minutes of noodling down to the empty bowl.

It is time to go and as I walked up to the cashier... I realized that I had only 3 dollars left in my wallet.  It's pretty embarrassing when you can't pay your meals.  I told the cashier that I can stop in Lion City market to withdraw some cash and come back, i offered him my drivers license.  The cashier said "don't worry, just come back.....!"  I quickly ran to my car and look for loose change....  luckily, I found some bills tucked away in the glove compartment.  I returned to the cashier and paid in full with a nice tip.  He also offered me a free 2013 Calendar.

Let me tell you.  Newark NTKNH have fast and great service....  no doubt!  I'm a happy customer and will continue to come back for more.
